Helping You Help Your Horses

Schooling 

Schooling can range from flatwork to jumping or just general life experience for a young horse

This is what is included in the schooling package: 

• The horse will be exercised 5 days a week

• Exercise include road rides, flatwork, jumping (show jumps and cross-country)

•The price for schooling is $250 per week

• This price includes exercising, grazing, general care, mucking out etc. Exclusions: This price does not include the cost of hard feed, supplements, hay or any other additional services not specifically mentioned above.

Schooling- one off session 

Schooling can range from flatwork to jumping or just general life experience for a young horse
$50 per session, up to 45 minutes, on site

$60 per session, up to 45 minutes, off site 

Travel cost my apply depending on location

Catch Rides

I can ride horses at events in the canterbury area

  • Cost is $60 per day 

  • All entry fees are to be covered by the owner

  • Transport of the horse to the event will need to be done by the owner or depending on the event Ginny Mckenzie Equine may be able to take the horse with travel costs applied 

Sale on Behalf 

This is what is included in the sale on behalf package:

•The horse will be exercised 5 days a week

•Exercise includes road rides, flatwork, jumping (show jumps and cross-country

•The price for selling on behalf is to be $280 per week

•This price includes exercising, grazing, general care, showing the horse to perspective buyer, communicating with potential buyers etc. Exclusions: This price does not include the cost of hard feed, supplements, hay or any other additional services not specifically mentioned above.

•10% commission will be charged on the sale 

Sheath Cleaning/Debeaning 

$50 per horse, on site 

$60 per horse , off site 

  • $10 discount for every additional horse owned by the same person.

Travel costs may apply depending on distance and number of horses in one place

Lesson

Lessons cater to all levels and ages  

$55 per 45min, on site   

$65 per 45min, off site 

Travel costs may apply depending on distance

Ground work 

I focus on horses learning about where they put their body in comparison to us when handling

$70 per 45min

Travel costs may apply depending on distance

Float Training

$80 per hour  

If takes longer, price will be added on at $20 per 15 minutes

Starting Horse under Saddle

Starting horses under saddle, tailored to a range of types and temperaments, to build confidence, responsiveness, and a solid foundation for future training.

This is what is included in the Starting Under Saddle package: 

• The horse will be exercised 5 days a week

• Exercise includes ground work, arena work and training life skills

•The price for schooling is $400 per week

• This price includes exercising, grazing, general care etc. Exclusions: This price does not include the cost of hard feed, supplements, hay or any other additional services not specifically mentioned above.

Restarting Horse Under Saddle

Restarting horses under saddle, tailored to a range of types and temperaments, to build confidence, responsiveness, and a solid foundation for future training.

This is what is included in the Restarting Under Saddle package: 

• The horse will be exercised 5 days a week

• Exercise includes ground work, arena work and training life skills

•The price for schooling is $360 per week

• This price includes exercising, grazing, general care etc. Exclusions: This price does not include the cost of hard feed, supplements, hay or any other additional services not specifically mentioned above.
